Humans should try harder to just be human.

I like the calmness of honesty. By working with humans and human issues, I want to show them as such. Most of the time our environment makes it hard to embrace that connection and the peacefulness in that. My works aim to feel poetically human. I want to show who and what we are, a bit stylised and constructed, but honest. Might sound dramatic, but my biggest inspiration is the constant conflict between us, ourselves and nature (also us). I find it quite challenging to visualise this, but that’s my journey – for now.

“SPARTS for me is an opportunity to play better. Being placed in that multi-disciplinary beautiful mess is very inspiring. To work outside the comfort zone might be the future of creative work - less me, myself and my discipline and more getting together to create something unexpected”
